The historic Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa has been welcoming visitors since 1895 to bathe in the region’s mineral waters. An icon of the region, the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa is nestled in the Mineral Springs Reserve near picturesque Hepburn Springs and Daylesford, and draws mineral waters directly from the springs to offer a unique spa and bathhouse experience.
Traditional communal bathing in warmed mineral water pools is available in the Bathhouse and the Sanctuary, with a range of hydrotherapies including spa and relaxation pools, spa couches, aroma steam room and salt therapy pool.
Renovated in 2008, the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa also offers a magnificent day spa where you can experience relaxing and reviving treatments including private mineral baths, massages, facials, body scrubs and wraps, and spa rituals.
While in the Mineral Springs Reserve, drop into the Pavilion Café for breakfast or a light lunch made with fresh local ingredients. The Pavilion Café has been offering hospitality to locals and visitors alike since 1908 and provides an atmospheric environment for a meal, or fabulous coffee and cake, before or after your Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa experience.
Bathhouse & Spa etiquette
Our Spa environment is one of relaxation and tranquillity. In light of this Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa is a mobile phone and smoke free environment.
If you wish to use the Bathhouse, appropriate swimwear is required. Swimwear is available for sale from the Spa Boutique if you are not able to provide your own. Towels are available for hire from the lower deck reception if necessary.
If you are using The Sanctuary facilities, appropriate swimwear is required and a robe and towel will be provided for your use.
A minimum age of 16 years is required for entry to the Sanctuary and The Spa. In The Bathhouse and change rooms, children under the age of 16 years must be directly supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Bookings
Bookings for The Bathhouse are not necessary, however bookings for The Sanctuary are recommended.
Whether your preference is for male or female therapist, time of day, or having your treatment in a double treatment room with a friend, please be advised that all bookings are subject to availability.
Scheduling appointments
To schedule an appointment please speak with our reception team who will help guide you to the right treatment choice. To ensure your preferred time and service are available, we recommend booking in advance. To secure your booking we’ll need to have a valid credit card number. Please have your Visa or Mastercard available when you make your reservation.
Spa arrival
If you are enjoying the facilities in The Bathhouse before your spa treatments, we recommend that you arrive at least two hours before your scheduled appointment. Otherwise, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your spa appointment so that we can properly prepare you for your treatment in a relaxing manner. Please understand that late arrivals may result in a reduced treatment time.
What to wear
At the Spa we provide robes, towels, slippers, shower caps, disposable briefs and all amenities required during your visit.
Medical conditions
Please advise us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries which might affect your spa experience when making your reservation.
Pregnancy
We have specially designed treatments suitable for mums to be. Please allow us to help guide you in selecting which treatments will be most suitable for you during this special time.
Cancellation policy
A 100% charge will apply for any treatments cancelled without 24 hours notice.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are available for all treatments, products and packages. Vouchers can be mailed, express posted, or can be collected from Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase.
Wedding parties & group bookings
Allow us to help you prepare for your wedding. Visit us the day before your celebration for a selection of spa treatments to ensure you and your bridal party feels calm, and looks radiant. We welcome groups and will be pleased to customise a program to suit all occasions.

Located adjacent to the spa relaxation lounge is our Spa Boutique. Choose from a selection of spa beauty products, health & lifestyle products, sensory body care products, candles, herbal teas and exclusive Hepburn collection spa products.
